I guess it's no surprise that babies cost a pretty penny but multiples cost mega pennies! We already had two other children when we found out we were going to have twins. The thought of breastfeeding two babies was out of the question. So we found out that formula for twins was costly. Not to mention double everything else. Diapers, wipes, clothes, toys, high chairs, swings(although we managed to get away with just getting one swing because only one of the babies really likes it), walkers, baby food and anything else that you can imagine.
We are two steps away from the poor house and we dream of the days when they start drinking milk and get out of those diapers. Don't get me wrong, we wouldn't change anything. We love them both dearly, but the cost in the beginning is tremendous.
We regret that our other children's lives seem to be on hold a bit(not to mention ours). We just don't have the funds(or the time) to do the things that we used to do. Like, movies, eating out(even though we still seem to be ordering out way too much), going to the mall, trips to Florida, and so on.
Well they aren't far from a year old now so things should be getting alittle easier.
I don't want to take away from the joy of having multiples, I just wanted to warn those who are expecting twins- that things may get alittle tight,(OK ALOT!) but I think it's definitely worth it!!!$$$.
