Okay one day i was eating some M&M's and noticed that there was two different shades of brown, a light and a dark one. So out of boredom i started asking random people why they thought that was. I got quite a lot of different answers so i decided to post them here on my website. -because brown is a cool color -hmmm...that's kinda weird -dude, just got with the flow and live life to the fullest, stop wasting your time -well you see...when a man loves a women -well because if they don't than life would not be the same -maybe light brown for milk chocolate and dark is for dark chocolate -it's punk rock that way -because the light brown might bear an unsettling resemblance to the color of a dog turd so they made the dark one later -because the company is stupid -because there was only one color at first but then an alien ship came down to the factory and used an atom splitter to split them in half and made one dark and one light. Then the owner was really made so he took a shotgun and tried to shoot it down but he missed and blew up the factory making it impossible to change the fact that there are two different colors of brown M&M's-this kid was on acid at the time he answered this -back when M&M's came out they couldn't make so many colors -because we want more chocolate -because they have nothing better to do then fuck with the colors -communism oppression -to match the colors of my vomit -didn't they take out a color of brown for the blue one? -the person that invented them wanted those colors -so the color spectrum doesn't overwhelm you -to keep it cheaper without more elaborate colors or just easier -so they don't look like skittles -forgot to put enough coloring in some batches, the dumb bastards -one is hippy and one is even more shitty -there is no reason -who cares? -because they messed up -the owner of M&M's is a fecal feliac -because the candy corporations do stuff like that to annoy people -so that Mexicans and black people could both be represendent in the colors -reflects the chocolate nature -M&M's company is blind -wat da fuck? -M&M's kick ass -government conspiracy -something to do with the gravitational pull -M&M's owner is found of earth tones -they wanted to be unique -some liked the dark and some one else liked the light -because some people think the dark brown shade is not very appetizing color, some people relate it to bitter dark chocolate which isn't very popular and lets face it it's a poop brown color. As for the lighter shade it's more of a cocoa, milk chocolate color which people find the shade more appetizing -why not -they were just lazy and didn't want to expand the horizons of the customers by producing an extreme color, so they stayed as bland as possible -I believe the reasoning for the dual colored M&M's was to maintain a non-biased stand point. You have your brown and then your light brown. But should we really be calling it light brown, wouldn't tan or beige be more appropriate acronym? If you dig deep you can probably come up with some controversial reason, possibly even linking the two different brown M&M's to the Kennedy conspiracy ... or maybe they just ran out of (cost effective) colors. I personally have always wanted to see a purple one. -because there was -they couldn't come up with any other colors -the machine broke while they were making them so one came out lighter and they just left it like that -they wanted two brown ones because they're chocolate candies and brown is the color of chocolate so they make you want chocolate and then the most common answer was "i dont know" if you wish to give your reasoning then send your answer here
