This spell cloaks the caster in an extremely dense field of stone-like energy, making him appear to be made of living black marble veined with green. It grants the caster the protection equal to a ring of lightning resistance, immunity to normal fire, and protection from magical fire-based attacks equal to 12 points of damage per level (as protection from fire). For example, a 12th-level priest would gain 144 points of protection from magical fire-based attacks.
This protection from lightning and fire lasts for up to 1 turn per level of the caster, or until damage equal to his fire protection is done to the caster. After the limit of his fire protection is reached or 1 turn per level of the caster elapses the spell ends.
The material component for stone mantle is a chunk of green veined black marble.
