Duration: Instantaneous
Casting Time: 4
Area of Effect: 20' radius

A priest casting starfall causes a glowing orb of light to fall from the heavens (ceiling) and strike a target, or location. This spell is similar to the wizard spell fireball spell with an exception; the star cannot be detonated at a height. It must hit the earth, or a creature to detonate. The spell inflicts 1d4+1 points of damage per level of the caster to all creatures in the area of effect. The blast will fill an area equal to the blast dimensions (33,000 cubic feet) so it can spread up chimneys, down passages, etc.
Creatures in the area of effect are entitled to a saving throw that will result in the taking of half damage. Exposed items, and soft metals must save or be melted, burned up or otherwise destroyed. Items in the possession of a saved creature are automatically spared this roll.
The starfall does have a tremor associated with it. The star is treated as a meteor upon impact. Thus, creatures in the area of effect and an additional 40' surrounding it must make a Dexterity check or fall to the ground.
The material component to this spell is the priest's holy symbol, and a small piece of rock held in the open palm, which disappears when the spell is cast.
Notes: Rare spell.
