The being that is to be known as Lord-Prince Piper of the Golden Enclave, was once only called Piper and was born in the High Forest. Jordon was born the only son of Cylindria Blade and the second child of the soon to be King Valkor Silvertree.
While in the High Forest, Cylindria inherited the care of Jordon’s cousins Barakus and Tannus Blade. As her sweet Cousin Trinin had perished in battle with orcs. Together they lived in peace, until the elves of the wood became angered at the birth of her son, a bastard half-elf!
Jordon was soon removed from the High Forest with his mother, as the wild elves were outraged at the half-breed prince’s birth. They soon pressured her to take her boys and leave.
Not wanting to cause friction between Valkor and his people, Cylindria took Jordon and left to travel the Realms; but was also once again, forced by circumstance to take care of the dwarven child Kylan, the last of clan Bloodbringer. On the run she would not be able to properly care for the gruff little boy, so she gave him over to the case of the dwarves of Citadel Abar.
She taught her son the ways of combat and the Art. They stayed in some of the most reclusive and magically strong places in Faerûn, including Candlekeep, Tethyr, and Halruua.
While in Tethyr, they met and stayed in a secret place in the largest forest known as the Pool of the Stars (an ancient artifact pool). There, Jordon learned about unarmed combat even further, and was given a unique book of the one art that resides in the mind of the recipient that allowed him to learn directly from Stick, his great-grandfather. Stick is an immortal barbarian and martial arts grandmaster of the Realms.
And Once the dwarf foster brother of the two older boys came back for them, Barakus and Tannus chose to lead a life of adventure. They were then escorted to the northern woods and set out with much money and gear, just two humans and a dwarf. This left Jordon wanting more, but at his young age of six he was kept home.
Much later, while traveling back to the High Forest Cylindria and Jordon were nearly killed by werewolves! Only by the appearance of Valkor and some other elves that joined his search for the group, did they once again become safe again in their old High Forest home. Soon after the incident, she and Jordon left for Evermeet to recover; there her little piper would begin to learn the ways of the Tel’Quessir.
In Evermeet Jordon learned the intricacies of elven magic, but was soon struck with wanderlust and left the Green Isle, returning to the place of his birth. Soon after he and his cousins, Barakus and Tannus Blade formed an adventuring company. Calling themselves the Windblades, they traveled all across the North; and upon discovery of an ancient portal, they also began exploration of the Dalelands as well.
One night while they were resting, Tannus and the others were chased out of the inn and through the forest by bandits, which they had thwarted earlier. Once they managed to track Windblades down, the bandit’s ripped at their clothing and howled like unclean and unnatural beasts. The Were creatures entered the fray with abandon, yet youngest of the Northern heroes, in his first ever major battle, ran head into their ranks slicing and pummeling the retched monsters, as he hated them most of all the creatures he encountered.
Finally making it to where the battle occurred, for he was in the common room listening to tales of battle and heroism, Jordon learned that they were nowhere to be found! Upon asking the elves of the nearby forests, they spoke of a terrible and unnatural mist, which devoured all within it whole, and then sunk into the ground without a trace. His friends sadly, were in it fighting huge werewolves at the time of it’s appearance and disappearance. So Jordon left word for them to call on him should any of the three—his friends, the mist, of the werewolves—ever reappear in the woods.
Five years later, the evil mists appeared and the elves sent word to the lonesome warrior spellcaster. Arriving a day later, he strode into the mists without fear. Upon emerging, he was in a land far removed from where he entered the forests. There he nearly fell over a large man covered head-to-toe in black bat-like armor, who was also striding fearlessly through the mists. The large man turned out to be none other than Tannus, who had returned for his annual visit; still trying to find a way home.
Soon he was reunited with the surviving Windblades: Barakus Blade; the warrior-priest of Clangeddin Silverbeard, the clumsy fighter Coleman; Kylan Bloodbringer; the necromancer Kala Ravensclaw; the thief Maelstrom; and Naerdromisc the Black. And once together again, they soon set out to find their way back to the Realms.
Searching for three long years, they were captured by the drow of Arak and forced to fight in the gladiatorial arenas for their twisted amusement. They escaped after two years of imprisonment, although this only came about as Barakus threw himself to the wolves, to save his little brother and the others, striking a high priestess of Lolth from the shadows and hiding. Needless to say that he was hunted down and tortured to death with extreme prejudice. The others got a head start because of this even, although Tannus was left a wreck, even disavowing his rangerhood; he became a merciless killer who gave no quarter to their enemies, which may have saving them all, as nearly every being they met was truly their foe!
Adventuring once again for an escape they found an abandoned grove where they found a hidden cache of magical items, one turning Tannus into Tana Blade (a woman)! It was also there that they met with and fought against Lorarlao, the princely elven vampire. He held Tannus up off the ground as his arm grew to 6 feet, and only the two-handed sword wielded by Piper caused him to let go. They then recovered from the initial attack and tracked him to a sanctuary within a crypt. From there they blessed and doused his coffin’s insides with holy water, to ruin his rest if he returned and examined a deep gray portal on the far wall of the lair. Travelling through the portal Tannus regained his true male form and his armor deformed into the bat plate that it is today, and the other weapons and armor found in this land warped into other dark and evil looking items.
Soon after his change from man to woman, and then back to man, Tannus and the others were killed by the Headless Horseman and awoke as only their heads in the demonic laboratory of Azalin—the lich lord of Darkon. Doing many strange and exotic tasks for the lich, they finally tricked his imp into getting them out, even though the imp helped in no way. During they brave escape, allowed by the lich, they were overcome by the plots of the lich and accused Naerdromisc of being a traitor. Jordon and Kylan then killed him in cold blood, before continuing onward. Escaping during the Grand Conjunction of Ravenloft, they killed the foul lord, much to his own desire and set out for better places, knowing full well that there were none to be found.
They then found themselves in a strange land, where they were attacked again and again by hunger and cunning werewolves. At the end of the battle only Maelstrom remained conscious, with Coleman lying decapitated near the two he slew before his life-blood stained the earth. The young and well-experienced thief looked at the two left and drew his hidden silver cane sword, and then he slew the remaining monsters as he nearly died upon the final enemy as they both fell to ground.
When they all awoke, those still alive, they set out for the borders of the land. There Maelstrom told them that he had to stay, as he had become a werewolf and the land had embraced him, preventing his departure. And as his last act of friendship, he lead them to a newly forming ancient obsidian pool set in the middle of a large number of druidical standing stones.
The group approached the pool as the moon entered the final phase of a lunar eclipse, and the pool began to glow with eerie green light. Bidding them goodbye, the remaining Windblades retreated through the pool to the light realms seen beneath and through it. Tannus had to be restrained and forced through, as Maelstrom took his new form as a mountain loup garou and spoke, “If any of you ever again set foot in my kingdom…I will eat each and every last one of you!”
Surprised, full of loss, yet all thankful to once again be in the Realms, they all kissed the ground and spent time in silent reflection on what had occurred over their “visit” to the Dark lands of Ravenloft. Having been transported near the bottom of the Heartlands, they each went their separate way, back to their friends and families; although they left knowing a place of meeting was set and waiting in a few years for them all to keep in touch. Jordon adopted the switch to a druid of Rillifane Rallathil as opposed to his stint as a War priest of Tempus, because this war raging attitude is what killed at least one member of his group.
As the Time of Troubles began to unfold, Mystra was forced to contain the wild magic ruining the Weave. So she chose to instill it into Jordon to protect the rest of the Realms. He was then sent away, through a portal to a world where his magic would be nullified!
Trapped on a desert world where all were organized around a huge gladiatorial dome, Jordon soon moved up in rank, yet used his psionics to allow the “masters” to choose others for mortal combat. Rolt and a few other strong warriors, along with a crafty gnomish thief, all were soon in the same boat with him. And as they moved to the top of the rankings, they were assigned to battle off a huge sand worm, a creature immune to normal weapons, and as large as a small city!
The prize for first place, a magical long sword +1, went to Rolt. Thus he chose his friends to help him as he battled the creature. And they were victorious, whereupon Rolt gave back the distasteful arcane weapon and traveled within the beast, where Solmus, a deva who needed their assistance, created a portal leading to a way for them to get home. Jordon then “allowed” his captors to free him, where he set out to follow these strong and capable Torilians. He saw the portal and entered as it began to close, what other way off that damned Artless world had ever been presented?
Thus, he appeared in the middle of a battle between Arik Tenderfoot, Elrond mandrake, Pheonix, Rolt and an enormous demon-lord from the Abyss. Joining with the other mortals against the fiend, they soon began to loose the battle, until a Deva named Solmus arrived and helped destroy the mighty lower planar prince, who was immune to magical weapons of all kinds and highly resistant to all other forms of the Art.
Returning to the Realms with the Time of Troubles behind him, Jordon set out to harness his unpredictable magic. Upon discovering of his return, Mystra soon came to his aid, and her and Azuth taught him to control or at least accept his chaotic Art.
A while later, Jordon helped the gold elves of Evermeet and their long lost ties to one of their lesser kings, Thiondar. During the quest a magical sword cursed him, making him into a half-vampire. And upon escaping after the destruction of the Stone of Gul, a potent artifact, he sot out a cure. He was helped and restored to normal by the high clerics of Lathander. After his nature changed, he was very resentful of his current predicament, and as much converted once again, but this time to the deity Azuth, and to a smaller extent Mystra, for it was her that caused this whole mess.
He then traveled back to the wild elves of the high Forest, where his father was happy to see him, yet his brother and the other full-blooded elves still scorned him for the most part. His burgining power held them at bay, and his brother even gained a grudging respect for him. Needless to say he left soon thereafter and has only returned once since that time, as he tries not to associate with those who dislike him based on his heritage.
A few summers then passed before jordon helped defend the area surrounding Helimbrash from the crazed Baba Yaga and her dancing hunt. Mystra then offered Jordon the chance to become one of her Chosen. He accepted, but remained hidden from everyone of power, even the other Chosen of Mystra; who didn’t know of his ascension into their ranks.
Numerous other adventures soon followed that historic event, including Jordon’s creation of the Golden Enclave (a conclave of spellcasters), and an adventure back in time to the Fall of Netheril, where he and his companions fought with dragons and defeated the ledgendary Tarrasque!
Upon returning, they landed on the threshold of war, as the vampires Tarthul Half-blood and Amara Darkstone had lashes out at the elves and all other living beings with an enormous army of undead (which later became known as the bone hordes). Tarthul’s destiny is to end up a demigod, at least as far as he is concerned he is.
During this time the heroes, along with some very inexperienced and soon to be heroes were transported to the hidden tree residence of Piper in the High Forest, where they and a group of elves tried and failed to fend off lorarlao. He seems to have also fled the dark lands and now is bent on revenge from the defeat at the hands of the windblades. He is also grown in power and has appearently purified his racial bllodline as a vampire, becoming far more potent than the typical undead.
Jordon has been acting to a limited extent here and there during this present Realms-wide war, and continues to expand the Golden Enclave and its effects on the Realms.
May our friends souls finally find exit into the Realms of light, and unto to their just rewards. We are sorry for any misdeeds in that hell spawned realm and wish for forgiveness as well as a chance to make amends.
