This spell cause flammable substances, such as cloth, wood, or oil to ignite and begin to burn. The caster can affect one item for every three levels he has achieved and may choose which items are affected. Items targeted by this spell must save vs. Normal Fire are burn and be ruined, magical items receive the appropriate bonuses to their saving throws. Ignited items cause 1d4 points of damage to anyone wearing or coming in contact with the fiery object. Unless extinguished somehow-by rolling on the ground or dousing the item(s) with water-the damage becomes cumulative each round (2d4 on the 2nd round, 3d4 on the 3rd, etc.).

The material component of ignite is flint & steel, which isn't consumed during casting.
