How can I explain how you own me?
The merest touch eludes fiery tracers
from graceful fingers. I’m a stranger
on a lonely road looking down the
same path; and it is infinitesimally
longer and lonelier now that I’ve had
you in my arms. I’ll ever be hungry
until I can keep you in my grasp, and
gaze into loving cartoon orbs that so
set this heart to burn. But for now you
remain my fondest dream; and I tread
ever so more lightly, now that my
dreams are at my feet.
