The hardest part of living,
Is having to face the next day.
Especially after having a great day,
As it can only go down hill from there.
To dwell in yesterday would be grand,
Past glories lost to the tomorrows.
The best of life is far too brief,
So live with your eyes and ears open.
View life with fervor unknown to you,
For before you know it, it is gone.
Loves and hates of the past mark the time,
Sadly reliving some pains do not bring it back.
I face the morrow and wonder if it will be better,
Better than the past or better than today.
I wish it to be so, but also realize that tomorrow
Is just today waiting to happen, and cannot bring back yesterday.
