Area of Effect: Special

This spell can be cast in one of three forms (as per the 4th level wizard spell):
A) Ice Plane: When the spell is cast, a sheet of strong hard ice is created. This is primarily defensive. The wall is one inch thick per level of the caster, and creates a 10’ square area per level of the caster. (i.e. a 10th-level caster can create a wall 100’ x 10’ and 10 inches thick.) Any creature breaking through takes 3 points per inch of thickness. Fire-using and fire-based creatures take 4 points of damage per inch, while cold using and cold-based beings take 2 points per inch.
B) Hemisphere: The casting of the spell in this form creates a dome of ice, 5 feet plus 1 foot per level of the caster. (i.e. 10th level priest casts a hemisphere, with a 15 foot radius) This hemisphere lasts until melted, broken, or dispelled. It is possible to trap a creature under the hemisphere, but is highly difficult.
C) Ice Sheet: This casting creates a horizontal sheet 10’ square per level of the caster. This sheet does 2d8 points of damage to creatures in the area of effect.
Wall of ice must be formed in an unoccupied area. The wall face must be smooth and unbroken. Magical fire, and hot breath weapons melt the wall in 1 round. Normal fires do not hasten the melting process.
The material component is a small piece of glacial ice suspended in holy water.
Notes: Very rare spell.
