Once this spell is cast and the target creature is touched, any weapon that makes a killing blow is stuck in the affected creature. Example: A dwarf puts a battle axe into the back of a drow, if the weapon's save fails the axe is stuck in the back on the drow for the duration of the spell.
The save for this spell is for the weapon only. For normal weapons, there is a normal save against Crushing Blow. Weapons with a plus may apply it to the save. Thus a battle axe +3 gains a +3 bonus to the axe's saving throw.
This spell was made with slaves or the drow male fighter in mind, as each are considered expendable. In battle if the slave or male drow is going to die at least they may cause more damage by keeping the weapons of the enemy.
