This spell creates a 1-foot diameter yellow sphere that absorbs the ranged attacks of 1 creature and reflects them back upon the sender. The sphere can appear anywhere within spell range, as desired by the caster. When reflection occurs, the caster must roll to hit his opponent (without penalty). He uses the sender's THAC0 with a +2 bonus to hit. If the missiles hit the sender, they cause double their normal damage.
All magic missiles created by a single spell or another ranged spell of 3rd-level or lower will be reflected back upon the original caster, who must make the appropriate saving throw with a -2 penalty (if a save is allowed). In the case of radius spells--such as a fireball--this spell protects the recipient from all damage and other effects, reflecting the effects he would have suffered back upon the sender at the end of the round.
If not used in the round in which it is cast, the sphere remains in existence for 1 round per level of the caster.
