This spell is a more damaging variant of Vendralen's pixie fireball. It transforms the material component into a sprite of fire that flies towards its target. When it arrives or if struck before arriving, the sprite makes an obscene or inappropriate gesture. Thereafter the fire sprite will either explode as a fireball or release a wave of fire in a 20' x 20' plane in front of the sprite. The effect created by this spell is chosen by the casting wizard, but the damage is the same, the fire sprite causes 1d6 points of damage per level of the caster, to a maximum of 10d6 for a 10th level caster.
The material component of Vendralen's fire sprite is a small sprite carved from any rare or expensive wood.
