What is it you hide from these dark, dark eyes,
Kept quiet and sealed, behind those brown veils?
Their mysteries elude me, as life’s lies,
But draw me to them, despite any appeals.
Drawing me near, only to tease and woo,
For they slide shut, still like opaque curtains.
Eyeless visitations to me from you,
Eclipsing me, unseen and uncertain.
Delusional, I too forget my place
And become lost in your world of pleasure.
Apart from your arms I feel lost in space,
Drifting, in loneliness without measure.
Awaiting to be yours, to be special,
To be seen, and not inconsequential.
