Have you ever learned
That you can die?
How did the distressing come,
The dark limiting epiphany;
It is something we all know,
But to know it in your heart.
What a fall from grace,
Oh how the mighty have fallen.
Once the fearless savage
Without wisdom tackling life.
True love brought me too bare,
Expressing me to the forever
Dreams of a man who wants
To live forever.
The diminishing fires behind
These fathomless eyes
All but gone out;
But fear not for our hero,
Perhaps in his wisdom he’s forgotten.
For look at the vital flames
That burn and dance now.
