This spell enhances the magical abilities of Tannus's vorpal katana. In addition to the sword's normal abilities of a gold/mithral alloy vorpal sword that can cut through stone as if it were only wet paper, Dawnsreaver gains the following special abilities:
Tannus gains a continuous negative plane protection for the duration of the spell.
The sword can cut through any nonmagical substance and magical spells & fields up to 6th-level (including antimagic shell).
Dawnsreaver glows with the light of the sun affecting all creatures in a 10' radius as if direct sunlight were hitting them (fungus creatures and undead in this radius suffer 3d6 points of damage per round).
Dawnsreaver cannot be disarmed or otherwise removed from Tannus without his permission, nor can he be compelled to rid himself of it by normal, psionic or magical means by any other being.
The material component for reaver of dawn is Dawnsreaver, Tannus's signature weapon.
