This spell gives the recipient a virtual immunity to attack from cut, blow, projectile or the like. Rocks thrown by giants, ballista, even magical maces, and swords cannot harm the creature. However, fireball, lightning bolt, magic missile and other magics do penetrate this protective spell.
Unlike the wizard spell stoneskin, this spell turns the creatures skin to rock, and does not have a restriction on attacks. This spell remains in effect until dispelled, or expiration.
The material component is a small pebble of granite, which is swallowed by the recipient to activate the spell.
