This spell creates a sphere of circling, razor-sharp blades of force. These whirl and shimmer around a central point, creating an immobile shell-like barrier. Any creature that attempts to pass through the barrier suffers 6d12 points of damage. Creatures within the area of the barrier when it is invoked receive a saving throw vs. spell. If successful, the blades are avoided and no damage is suffered; the being escapes the area of the barrier by the shortest possible route. The barrier can cover any area from as small as five feet radius in size to as large as 100 feet radius at 20th level.
