New Nonweapon Proficiency

Pyrokinesis [Wis -4] (3 slots)

This ability can only be used once per each constitution point the character has. When channeled through a weapon, the appropriate item save is used. If the proficiency check is a 1, the result is double strength and has an additional effect.

This ability allows the character to raise the temperature in an area of focus. The area is subjected to intense amounts of heat, often resulting in flames. It can be used to create small fires, on flammable objects in less then one round (+3 to initiative). When channeled it causes 1-4 points extra damage and takes one full round to activate. The character must take care to have his own bare skin touch metal in the area of effect of the pyrokinesis or he too will take damage as his gloves catch fire. If a 1 is rolled for the ability check the victim has caught fire.

If a 20 is rolled for an ability check, the ability backfires and causes the character’s weapon to break (no save unless it is magical) and to be at –2 to hit and damage for 1-4 rounds. Of course any immunity to fire results in no damage suffered.
