Please
Let me stay in this unfeeling darkness.
The dread sun arises unleashing foul light
Fathoms deep the waking washes me.
Drowning me in alertness,
I wish to submerge under blanket.
Venturing back deep into slumber.
Dawn, dawn go from me, Please
Just allow me to forsake you and darken,
Teeming in twilight nights forever.
Take the reflected brightness
From these old lightless orbs,
Setting their inner blackness
Outward, shading everything seen.
Damn sun and it’s illuminating ways;
I curse you and wish for you to die.
Just burn out, brighten us not
With fading away.
Please.
