This spell is identical to the 4th-level polymorph other spell, except that it can affect up to one creature for every level the caster has attained that dwell within the area of effect of this spell. Each creature considered to be the enemy of the caster, or those who attack the caster of their own will while in the area of effect must make a saving throw vs. spell at a -4 penalty or they suffer the fate and same effects of a polymorph other spell.
The creatures affected by this spell all change into the same "new" altered form as chosen by the caster, and this form cannot be too far removed from the original form. Thus any humanoid or monster could easily be made into a mushroom.
The Simbul once used this spell while saving Elminster and the Rangers Three; she used this mighty magic to change a good portion of the attacking malaugrym into mushrooms, which in turn fell to the earth and splattered onto the ground!
The material component for this spell is at least 4 caterpillar cocoons wrapped together in spider webs.
