Pale Beauty

Written: FEB 4, 2001

Your beauty causes me confusion,
I try speaking, but don’t know where to begin.
The stark contrast of your chestnut hair
And your smooth and silky moonlight skin.

Your cool eyes burn into me,
Caressing me from within.
I find it hard to concentrate,
Your beauty drives my mind to sin.

Could we be together?
Sometimes I dream and hope.
Not being close to you,
I often wonder if I can cope.

A crush prolonged leads to more,
But what this leaves for us I know not.
I wish only to see you, even from afar.
Your attention is all that I have sought.

Shapely and curvaceous,
The perfect silhouette against the night.
To gaze upon such loveliness,
I question whether I have the right.

Time has passed us by,
But can it not be regained?
I wish for a deeper connection,
For without one my heart is strained.
