This spell creates an immobile and faintly shimmering globe of laughter and sarcastic comments around the caster that weakens the minds of all who enter or touch the globe, which extends in a 10-foot diameter around the caster. This effect is identical to the 2nd-level wizard spell ray of stupidity, except that victims suffer a -2 penalty to their saving throws. This effect reduces the Intelligence of the victims and thereby their attacks and magical abilities that rely upon it. Creatures and beings of all types are reduced to an effective Intelligence of 5, losing all illusion immunities (if any) and spellcasting abilities. Your DM will determine any other effects appropriate to the affected creature. If the target creature(s) makes its saving throw, the spell has no effect. This spell does not affect combat or spellcasting bonuses due to magical items, and those conferring increased Intelligence function normally.
The material component of this spell is a crystal bead and an eyelash from a dumb barbarian or any other being with an Intelligence lower than average.
