This spell causes single fishhook covered chains to shoot forth from the casters wrists attacking any creature chosen by the caster. The chains remain in existence for 1 turn or until the caster hits a creature. The chains cause 1d6 points of damage for every 2 levels of the caster, to a maximum of 10d6 at 20th level. From the damage done to her opponent, the caster gets back half of the damage done in healing energy. This healing can bring the caster above her normal hit point total, and all damage is then subtracted from these extra hit points first (unless used up in this manner, the phantom hit points remain for 1 turn/level of the caster).
This spell affects any creature, including undead. The caster never suffers any adverse affects from this draining effect.
