Jordon's personalized variant of the Wizard eye spell, this spell creates a cat's eye of the caster's eye color, that sends him visual information. The golden eye travels at 30 feet per round if viewing an area ahead as a human would, or at 10 feet per round if examining the ceiling and walls as well as the floor ahead. The caster can see through the golden eye with his normal vision, and the eye can become invisible as desired by the caster. The golden eye can travel in any direction as long as the spell lasts. When not carefully inspecting its surroundings, the golden eye can move as fast as a sprinting great cat (MV 45). The eye has substance, cannot move through solid barriers, although it can move through a space no smaller than a mouse hole (one inch in diameter).
Using the eye requires the concentration of the wizard. If the wizards concentration is broken the spell does not end-the eye merely becomes inert until the wizard again concentrates, subject to the spells duration. This spell is unaffected by dispel magic and all physical attacks. A limited wish or stronger spell is needed to destroy a golden eye while it is in existence.
The material component of this spell is a tuff of hair from any great cat, which must be taken without harming the animal.
