Insidious

Written: SEPT 19, 2003

Here I stand,
Tall and proud
Upon the earth they
Sought to bury us in.

Our home,
Our land,
Our birthplace,
Our displaced homeland.

But you don’t see me
As I truly am,
Instead I am just another
One of you, white.

Isn’t this nice
That our people
Have the perfect spy
The insidious saboteur.

I am as red as your blood
But surely you cannot guess
The fire that tempered me
The power I am afraid to unleash.

Of times the madness comes
At me from all angles;
But it takes much to cause me
To break into the rage.

Be lucky as we go off
Like no European ever could
Of your days; with our crazed
Too dark eyes fixing on prey.

A blood wraith set to kill
All those who have punished,
Crushed and destroyed us,
But we are not gone yet.

Ever will you be beset by my
Kind and all we stand for,
And the ironic symbolism is
We look just like you!
