Hollow Man

Written: DEC 3, 2001

In the valley of the spirit,
There rests a hollow.
Awaking from the stupor of oblivion,
I rise to try to best the yesterdays.
But only to find I still rest,
Within the oblivion once more.
I seek the light, the fillers of men:
Love, hatred, anything that may give me emotion.
None comes to me this night,
Or is it day? It is all the same to me.
My reign here is utterly complete,
I dwell alone and none venture close.
For within the darkness is I:
The Hollow Man, the ununderstanding one.
