This spell is a Hell bend (literally) variant of the hail of stone spell. At the start of the spells casting a rift to the Nine Hells is opened above the area of effect, and by the end of the casting rocks and pellets rain down on those in the area covered by the Hells rainstorm.
These pellets and rocks are coated and made up of the very material of the Nine Hells and also radiate evil is know alignment is cast. When they strike the ground or anything in there way (i.e. the beings the caster targets the spell over) they burst into half inch diameter fiery explosions and eminate evil radiation that corrupts the natural biological functions of creatures that do not come from the Nine Hells.
These corrupting and explosive effects cause 1d4 points of damage to all creatures not native to the Nine Hells, to a maximum of 10d4. In addition if used against a natie of the upper plains, that being must make an immediate saving throw vs. breath weapon or suffer an additional 1 point of damage per die dealt by this spell.
The material component of the Hell's rainstorm is a piece of magma from any layer of the Nine Hells.
