Have you ever seen it?
Something so beautiful,
Lying a double arms breadth away.
Heart ceased with terror.
Fright of not doing anything,
Yet without will to reach out.
Lying in innocence of the struggle,
So peaceful, and unwittingly a cause.
The form for which my inner strife,
Longing, but foolhardy also consumes me.
So close, yet I will make my move not,
What if you were to return my wants?
Would I be ready for them, or just stop,
I know not now, nor may ever;
Yet true to myself I know I could love you,
Even from just four feet away…
