Like the wolves of guilt chasing through my mind.
A race through fields distant in memory.
Soar like raven, loss and regret I find;
Fields afar look unreachable, dreary.
Skeletons of old lie smiling cheery,
Awakening fears unwholesome, anew.
Eyes alighting blood with the pains fiery,
My perceptions heighten, although askew.
In fields afar sanity reigns, renewed;
Yet can I struggle there with time to spare?
Pivot & dodge, I carry mind unglued,
Dreading, grasping to retain it with care.
Gaining ground, enjoying challenges scar.
I leap through the valleys to fields afar.
