This spell is conjures a dark green ball of acid that unerringly strikes its target, like a magic missile spell. This causes 1 points of damage per level of the caster in each round to the target, to a maximum of 10 points of damage for a 10th-level wizard. The acid slowly eats away at its target, on a round-by-round basis (designed to be used against enemy spellcasters). For example, a 3rd-level mage could have his dark pulse II deal 1 point of damage for three rounds in a row. This will prevent most spellcasters from casting spells. Unlike the magic missile spell, a dark pulse II is not stopped by a shield spell.
The material component of dark pulse II is a bit of saliva from a night hunter bat.
