If you plucked each and every visible
Star from on high and perch it anew,
Align them dear, betwixt our eyes.
To your sight they hold not a single
Candle; but the distance thus incurred
Could not begin to approach the truth.
The consequence of cowardice, that you
From me are forever gone, and memories
Are all the likes of me can attain. Shunning
Hearts in search of the bigger better love,
I realize how I’ve been thusly loved, but
Forced to turn away, possibly just for
Turning sake. Led astray by nearly nothing;
Yet how easily I followed this failed whim,
Can I find what I discarded in times oft,
Or shall I remain here staring and wanting
It all back again, but unable to bridge the gap;
To get back, too far now is me and my
Heart removed, looking back, saddened and
Sore, unbelieving how far we are distanced.
