New Nonweapon Proficiency

Cryokinesis [Wis -4] (3 slots)

This ability can only be used once per each constitution point the character has. When channeled through a weapon, the appropriate item save is used. If the proficiency check is a 1, the result is double strength and has an additional effect.

Cryokinesis allows the character to lower the temperature in an area of focus. The area is small, no more then 5 feet or 10 lbs. It can be used to douse small fires. When channeled it causes 1-2 points extra damage and if the result is a 1, the limb that is struck is numb and useless for 1-4 rounds (+ 3 to initiative). The character must take care not to have his own bare skin touch metal in the area of effect of the cryokinesis or he too will take damage from frostbite.

If a 20 is rolled for an ability check, the ability backfires and causes the character to be slowed for 2-4 rounds and lose any strength and ability bonuses to hit and damage during this time. Of course any immunity to cold results in no damage suffered.
