As they gaze across my skies,
The clouds darken and move in.
Pushing the would be lights of my life,
Away into the dreaded nights.
The rains of regret and longing
They erode my dreams, sorrowfully.
On the beaches of misery I sit,
Once timid waters rage, woefully.
In the oncoming night I cling
To hope and my pains.
Sheltering against cliffs of reason,
I hope to outlast the rains.
Day becomes night,
And the night becomes darkness.
Within the pitch I struggle,
Waning in the fading lights.
Waiting with hope,
I see the lighter clouds on horizon.
Wish You Were Here,
Light of day, to banish the cloudy days.
