This spell imbues a weapon (typically an edged weapon, like a sword) with a slightly longer duration 1st-level priest spell, bless. The size of the weapon enchanted is limited to 1 pound per level of the caster. While this spell is in effect the weapon can hit and harm all forms of undead and lower planar creatures; furthermore it grants the user a +1 bonus to hit. Otherwise it is not considered a magical weapon.
The material component for the blessed blade spell is holy water.
