This spell allows the casting mage to communicate with two other wizards on the same plane of existence simultaneously. When invoked, this spell contacts the other two wizards to engage the caster in conversation, who must then make a successful saving throw vs. spell with a +2 bonus to the die roll, or be disconnected from the Weave for this type of conversation. Once the connection is established, the caster and the other two or one (if one was disconnected) wizard may each say up to a total of 50 words in a short conversation.
Unknown to most people, this spell when cast by each of the three wizards to be contacted produces a gateway though which each of the three wizards may send up to 2 books that are no larger than a traveling spellbook to any of the other two wizards thus connected. This is the answer to the way the Bromthorns always seemed to know each others’ magics without ever gathering together to swap spells, as most other mages are bound to do.
The material components for Bromthorns tri-call are 3 electrum rings all linked together (worth a total of 30 gp) and a lock of hair from each of the other wizard’s the caster wishes to contact.
Notes: This spell was developed and is known by the triplet wizards Clattoo, Farratta & Nicktoo Bromthorn. Now it is a very rare spell of the Forgotten Realms setting.
