This spell creates blades of force surrounding the fingers and nails of the caster, which flicker with secondary effect of an eerie lavender aura of concentrated radiation. A similar lavender aura enwraps his wrists, while a third and final impenetrable aura of the deepest violet radiates from the hands of the caster, from which only the finger blades can be seen flickering into and out of visibility.

The finger blades of the caster allow him to attack once per round with each hand, requiring a separate attack roll to hit with his normal THAC0 for each strike. These blades are so sharp that they cause 4 points of damage whenever they strike, one point for each finger. The force fields surrounding the caster’s fingers allow him to parry with his hands and even cut through steel armor, although any armor worn still bestows its full protection upon the wearer.

The eerie lavender aura causes those touched to make a saving throw vs. spell at a –2 penalty or suffer 1d6 points of damage and the loss of 1 point of Charisma, as the radiation energy similarly destroys the skin of the victim, as would acid under different circumstances. If the save succeeds, however, the victim suffers only half the damage, and the Charisma lose is not suffered, yet the victim still suffers the full 4 damage from the finger blades in addition to the radiation damage. Those creatures not rated for Charisma suffer a -1 penalty to any and all reaction checks for every other successful touch. (Any loss of Charisma is regained at a rate of 1 point per hour. Damage must be cured magically or healed naturally; regeneration will not work to repair this damage.)

The opaque violet aura covers the caster’s hands and lower forearms with dancing electrical energy, as per the lightning hand spell; furthermore, this aura extends to all who are struck by the caster outlining them in violet faerie fire with lavender highlights.

All of the above is cumulative per strike, thus a being struck by the caster of this trifold magic would automatically suffer 4 points damage from the finger blades; then they would have to make a saving throw vs. spell for the radiation or take an additional 1d4 damage and the loss of 1 point of Charisma (successful save reducing this effect to half damage and no Charisma loss); and finally a save vs. spell to avoid the flickering aura of electricity is called for, success indicates no ill affects, while a failure gives the victim another 1d4+1 damage and reduces it’s Dexterity by 1 point.

The material components for this triple spell are a tiny set of adamantine orbs slightly shaped into fists, and a ring worn by an experienced drow warrior, and a drop from a potion of speed.
