History of my Dart
My great grandmother bought this car brand new and sold it to my mother for $500 back when my mom was 18. My mom parked the car in 1987, and it sat in the back yard of my grandmothers place for many years. When my grandmother passed away in 2000 and the house was sold , Dad towed the car to calgary where it sat ,once agian awaiting its fate. Fast foward 7 years and I've bought my own house in saskatoon. The Dart is yanked from the home its known for almost a decade and towed back to saskatchewan. It now sits in my back yard stripped down awaiting the construction of a new home. A 24X38 shop.
Return of the Daytona
Well over Christmas I brought back the original mill from the daytona. The 2.5 Liter NA motor that was sitting outside at Dads place for the last 3 year. I am going to take the 1990 Common Block, remove the balance shafts, use the crank, drill the hole for turbo oil return, install new TII rods (from fwdperformance.com), new 2.5 TURBO pistons, rebuild my T03 Garrett, +40 Injector, 3 Bar Map, and Stage IV calibration for FWD Performance. I hope to have all this ready to go by spring, so I can pull the Daytona home from the acreage, pull the old 1988 Block which i cracked/broke when i tossed the rod through the oil pan , and drop in this rebuild 2.5. Other items I plan to finally install which I had before but never got installed are Stock Intercooler, G-Valve, and Generation I Talon BOV.
