I AM A FORMER STUDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH DAKOTA HAVING SPENT 4 YEARS IN THE DIVISION OF ALCOHOL AND DRUG STUDIES
During my Senior year at USD, with only 15 credits before graduation, I developed a rare disease called "Sarcoidosis". Presently, I I am living in Spearfish, South Dakota due to health problems associated with this disease. I now volunteer my time to churches and non-profit organizations that need help or advice in drug or alcohol addiction.
I am 60 years old and have 34 years of drug and alcohol experience in my past. In the pages to follow, I tell my story, my salvation, and my hopes.I have also included many links to helpful organizations associated with addiction recovery along with links to humor, songs, quotes and other good stuff...so surf on! There is a way out of the funnel of addiction - I FOUND IT AND SO CAN YOU!

I work within the parameters of my studies and by the guidance and counsel of my faith in Jesus.I am also a Red Cross volunteer, trained and certified, and a former Crisis Team member at USD. However, the big boss is the "Trinity" and I always listen to them.

I am originally from Chicago...however, I now live in Spearfish, South Dakota. My wife works for the coal mine industry in Gillette, Wyoming. I worked in America's Largest Gold Mine in Lead, SD for 22 years before becoming totally disabled in a mining accident in 1992.
My greatest interest now is helping people overcome their addictions...any addictions. Having had to quit my college education due to health reasons, I now plan to serve God as best I can as a volunteer to churches and other non-profit organizations.
