You brought light into our lives, we shall remember you forever...

A Goddess as compassionate as could be.

She was truly a Queen of our Hearts,
So many have felt her generosity,
None will forget her magnificence,

But the People's Princess shall grace us no more,
An innocent victim of our selfish greed,
A dear blossom trampled in a flurry of haste,
And our dear Princess' soul was finally freed.

While all the nations mourn this unfortunate tale,
This fairy tale which ended in tragedy,
Let her sweet memory live on into oblivion,
For in our sorrow, we will love her for eternity...

Or go out and buy a copy of Elton John's rewritten single, "Candle in the Wind 1997"!! All money would be forwarded to the memorial fund, and the British government has promised not to take any taxes from these sales. The single HAS been released in the U.S. as of Tuesday, September 23. It was released as an 8-time platinum, proving that it well end as one of the all-time best selling singles ever. Prices are low, ranging around $2.99.

Also, be on the lookout for a tribute album which is in the works at the moment. Artists performing on the album include Sting, Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Seal, Eric Clapton, and many others PLUS the famed Elton John song as well!! I've heard that after the album is done, there will be tribute concerts in New York and London. Sadly, I am in neither of those cities, but I wish you luck in getting tickets if you plan on going! It is certainly an event not to be missed.

Interesting fact: Have you heard? Montserrat is proposing to name its newest capital as "Port Diana"! They are waiting for approval from the Royal Family.
