The Tale of the Seal, the Harp and the Woman

This is my second story with my sister Anna..we enjoyed creating the story of The Two Wizards and decided to change the theme, this will be a story about the North. We hope it will be a good read for those who stop in. Enjoy! :o)
This picture still has a copywrite, and was borrowed to us with express permission from "David" the creator of the site. The site has many pictures just like this one, at it's origional size, plus many more. Thank you David.
Part One
One day, a boy named Ray left his Nintendo alone for once, when his grandfather came over for a visit. Both Ray and his grandfather lived on an Eskimo village right by the ocean. As Ray's mother cleaned and looked after his little sister, his grandfather looked out of the window at the crashing waves. When he focused again on where he was, he motioned for Ray to come sit by him, he was going to tell him a story. Ray, being shy of his grandfather, walked slowly and warily toward the old man. A long, long time ago, things happened that don't happen now. Spirits walked the earth, and took on different forms. Beauty was everywhere, and the world was free. A very special spirit, whose name was Shylyuk (pronounced Shee-lee-uk), loved to roam the shores of the ocean. The elders of the village said that she became a spirit one day when she stayed out by the ocean too long, and froze to death. She was a very free spirit anyway, not meant for this world.
Part Two

>>>"Even when Shylyuk was as young as you the whole village knew she was special." said Grandfather. "She had an inner beauty that made everyone love and cherish her, but they were also afraid." One day she went to the place where her father kept his prise posession..that was his harp. She picted it up and began to play. The melody washed over all in the room and they were struck mute by it's sweetness. Visitors to her parents house were quick to leave and start the talk that would follow her to her cold grave. Her father quicky took the harp and told her that she must not play...her music was not right. It would make her different and the people would not allow her to stay. Her mother quiety sat away from the fire with tears in her eyes. She had had visions of this day when she had Shylyuk safe in her womb. Those visions came back and the ones of the future where her daughter would be taken away from her and die alone. This cannot be...we will train her to be like the rest of us...she must fit in.

>>Ray looked at his Grandfather who had paused to take a drink of his tea, " Yes Grandfather...then what happened? Did they chase her away?"

>>"Not yet my son..she was still little like you..and they were more forgiving then."

>>Then as she grew she fell in love with the Great Hunter Keeyo. He was only a few years older then her and he had loved her since they were little. It was a perfect union for her family and they were happy. He would care for all of them and there beautiful daughter would not have to fear the village. For in spite of all there efforts the word was around about her power and as she grew older it was more and more obvious that she was special in a magical mystical way. She would walk at night to the sea shore and play her fathers harp. It was so beautiful that all the animals of the sea and the land would flock around her to hear each note falling into the wind. Unfortunately a few members of the village heard it too..and would come silently in the dark to hear her play. Soon it came to the ears of her love that she was bewitched and her nighty practises. He knew it had to stop but when he went and heard her play...it broke his heart.
