I knew it; saw it coming
under the shadow of a doubt
Hoping, thinking
wishing for it
Tried my best to encourage
to help it along
Can't have a fire without something to spark it
I was
So unsure,
so afraid
Trying to find out if you felt the same
And then the breeze on my cheeks,
the way you smiled
When you said my name...
One wish
our fate predicted, entwined
A nickel in the fountain stops the the world
My mind was racing
people rushing by
But your voice was all that I heard
And the way my heart pounded
when you said that word
Oh, all the rules that we broke
by the action you spoke of,
Yet you kissed me one more time
and again...
