Midsummer

As the shadows grow long on the hillsides
And the ships return to the bay,
I'll follow the nymphs and the dryads
Deep into a sylvan glade.

I'll run with the sylphs as nighttide wanes
And the will-o'-the-wisps beckon me on.
I'll listen from a quiet shore
As the sirens weave their song.

And if there's still time ere morning breaks
With the coming of the first gold ray,
'Neath the silv'ry beams of Artemis'
I'll dance with the Lorelei.
