All you need to know about tush tags!!


There are several versions of the Ty tush tags which are made of cloth and are attached to beanie babies usually in the "tush" area. The discontinued tush tags are the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth versions.

The first generation tush tag is a black and white tag and does not have the beanies name on it.

The second generation tush tag is red and white and displays the big red TY heart.

The third generation tush tag has in red lettering at the top of the tag, "The Beanie Baby Collection™". The "TY" heart is much smaller now and the tag now displays the beanies name below the heart.

The fourth generation tush tag looks very similar to the 3rd generation except now there is a red star to the upper left of the "TY" heart. In the months between switching from the third generation to the forth generation a sticker with a star was placed on all 3rd generation tush tags.

The fifth generation tush tag is the exact same as the fourth generation tag except that there is now a trademark symbol ™ to the right of the beanies name and a registered symbol ® after "Beanie Babies".

The sixth generation tush tag is the exact same as the fifth generation tag except that now the heading reads "The Beanie Babies Collection ®".
