The holidays are soon upon us. The lights are twinkling on the shrubbery out in the frontyard, the tree is decorated with new ornaments (to match the new living room furniture), and the kids have been baking cookies.
I am finishing up my first semester in college after a 16 year hiatus. I'm getting all A's and enjoyed every minute of it. Michelle is in the 6th grade and loves going to Middle School, Kaylyn is in 4th grade, and Brandon in 1st. Kaylyn still is in gymnastics and has advanced once again, soon she may be on the "team" and Michelle enjoys her cheerleading class.
We wish everyone all the best this holiday season.
In the spring we went to Washington for the funeral of Brad's grandfather. He will be missed by all. We were happy to see all the family though. Here are some photos from the beach.

Michelle and Kaylyn took a big step this February when they went to a Girl Scout function called DATE WITH DAD, without their dad. They have attended every year with him. I am so proud of their desire to go, and also for the fact that they truly had a fun time.

If you clicked open the picture of Crystal and me did you notice the ugly brown cabinets in the photo, along with the blue striped walls?...well...they are now gone. Thanks to a major remodeling job, the cabinets are all now white, the counter tops are a tan, pink, grey marble look, the appliances are new, and the floor is a light pine color. It is amazing. I still have to pick out some new wallpaper and do that.
Click here to see what's been done so far. But please ignore the messy kitchen, I wasn't expecting company.
