The table shows the average height in Sweden among people that are betwen 18-30 years old.Interesting about the average height in Sweden and all over the world except in Asia is that it barely has increased during the past 20 years.Since 1978 the average height has only increased by 1/4"(0.6CM). Since the industrial period begun the average height continued to increase but something happened in 1978 because the increasing of the average height stoped.Why did it stop? The scientists have not agreed in this question some says it is because we have started to eat worse food such as junk and fast food and other says it is because the human rase almost has reached the maximum average height because of that our anatomy is'nt made for a bigger body.A bigger body would cause different problems such as back problems.There is also scientists who says that the average height would continue to increase so that the average height in sweden would be 183 cm(6')in the year 2020.But there is no signs that the average height would increase any more because of many things for instance:we are eating worse food than ever before and the average height have not increased since 1978.The average for people over 30 years is 1/4"(0.6cm)shorter and for people over 50 years 3/4"(1.8cm)shorter.

To answer this question you have to know about a special formula.With this formula you can calculate the shortest height you can get the expected height you can get and the tallest height you can get.There is two formulas one for girls and one for boys.
The number of people who becomes as tall as the expected height are 60%.The number of people who becomes shorter than the expected height are 35% and taller than the expected height 15%.
Most girls stop growing when they become 16 1/2 years old but some girls develop faster and stop growing when they are only 15 years old.When it comes to boys there is a bigger range betwen the most developed and the less developed boy.But you can say that most boys have stoped growing when they turn 20.But some develop faster and stop growing when they turn 18 and in rare cases when they are only 16.There are rare cases when boys stop growing at 21 and in extreme cases at 25.
Here in the tables below you will find the average height for children betwen 1-18 years old.Interesting about children are that they are just about the same height in SWEDEN and the NETHERLANDS as in the USA until the age of 14 but when the swedes and the dutch children turn 15 they grow more than in USA.Thats why we are taller than people in the USA.Another interesting thing are that girls are shorter than boys untill the age of 11 thats when the girls are starting to grow faster than boys and the girls becomes taller than they.Boys are shorter untill the age of 15 when they are taller again this time much taller 5cm(2").

To answer this question is not easy.Giant growt can be caused by many things for instance the marfan syndrome which you can read about on other places on the internet.Just go to a search engine and search for marfan syndrome.Another deasese wich causes giant growt of feets,hands and head is called Akromegali.People who have the Marfan syndrome and others who become giants are borned with to much growt hormone and wich they are producing to much of in their childhod.Growt hormone are produced deep inside the brain by the hypofyse.
