"The Kingdom of Love" is undoubtedly one of the best songs from the SoftBoys. Their 'fishy' music is great, from "Where Are The Prawns" to the catchy song "Tonight", this is one album to own. Two other tracks stand out, "Positive Vibrations" and "UnderWater MoonLight", the first for its flashback to '60's style sitar psychedelia and the title song for its folksy side, reminiscent of the '60's group Fairport Convention. This group has shown its versatility in this, their best album, with songs like; "The Queen of Eyes", "I Got The Hots", "Insanely Jealous", and "Old Pervert". I definately urge you to get this album, it's a rarity.
Here are the SoftBoys: Robyn Hitchcock on Guitar,Bass and Vocals; Kimberly Rew on Guitar, Bass, Synthesizer, and Vocals; Morris Windsor on Drums and Vocals, and Mathew Seligman on Bass; with Andy King on the Sitar and Gerry Hale on Violin. All the songs were written by Robyn Hitchcock and the album was released in 1980.
