QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE

Shady Grove

Shady Grove was the third album from the group and was released in 1969. Its important to note that this group was pretty well formed when it played, as a member of a contingent of San Francisco based bands, at the Monterey International Pop Festival, along with Joplin, the Airplane, Steve Miller, and the Dead with one exception, they never agreed to a video contract, so there is little video available of them. I'm searching! They did do a flick called Revolution in which a couple songs are performed, that is a very scarce video. One other video that I know of is also scarce VHS, only LD, and that is "Fillmore: The Last Days" video.

Much more will follow with respect to this album. It is one of my special jewels. I managed to get this much written as a special favor to a very special friend...
