Summer 1998Fisheries Technician

Duties Included:Preformed creel census on Trout Lake in North Bay. I was responsible for interviewing anglers, sampling Lake Trout, and answering any questions from the anglers. The sampling of the Trout involved recording the length and weight ofthe fish, as well as collecting scale samples. This information was used to assess the health of the Trout population on the lake.
Summer 1997Water Quality Technician

Duties Included:Construction of watershed maps for North Bay and surrounding area, and the weekly sampling of 23 sites on six area creeks. The purpose of this study was to build a basis of research for an upcoming escarpment study slated for the Fall of 1997. Data was compiled into spreadsheets and a final report was submitted. This was a contract position for seven weeks.
