Moi Tayler was born in Hungary. Displaced to East Germany,
she lived for several years in a Displaced Persons Camp before
escaping across the "Green Border" to West Germany, eventually
emigrating to the US. She has lived in a number of European cities,
and has traveled extensively throughout Europe and the US.
Ms. Tayler is multi-lingual and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign
Languages, Humanities and English from California State University at Long
Beach where she also pursued post-graduate studies in Communication
and Education. She completed her Certification in Teaching English as
a Foreign Language at Seattle University and has been an educator at
the secondary and college levels. She is currently pursuing a Master
of Arts in Humanities from California State University at Dominguez
Hills.
Ms. Tayler was one of three educators in the nation to receive Youth
for Understanding's Excellence in Education Award, and she has been
twice selected among five percent of the nation's outstanding
educators for inclusion in Who's Who Among American Teachers.
Moi's publications include "Studies of High-Density Land Development
on Natural Eco-Systems," "Community Environmental Impact Studies,"
and foreign language educational books.
In Seasons of the Heart, Moi's powerful book of romantic poetry,
she depicts those sentiments of the soul that are universal. They
are eloquently expressed through the cultural nuances and delicate
shadings in meaning she brings to her work.
