My journey began in Tahiti of the Society Islands located in the territory called French Polynesia. It is currently a territory in French posession with a slightly autonomous government. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of French Polynesia and visited three of the Windward Isles. I discovered that the Polynesians are some of the most generous people on the planet, and gladly treat any kind considerate visitor as an equal member of their family.

After leaving Tahiti, I headed south to the Cook Islands and
arrived on the main island of Rarotonga. After exploring the island I took
a side trip to the Island of Aitutaki. The Cook Islands are scattered over 2,176,000 sq km and
became self-governing in 1965, although they keep strong ties to their previous
controller, New Zealand.
